Every Organization struggles with issues such as employee ownership, accountability, creativity, productivity etc. These are often the outcomes of leadership behaviour that shape the organizational culture. Some of the common challenges are:
Change is fast and all over us. Remaining resilient and creative is the key to a leader’s survival and performance
The transition from being a successful individual worker to a leader who propels a team towards a common vision, continues to challenge leaders
Most organizational problems can be traced back to a lack of clarity. Leaders often suffer from the "Illusion of Transparency," assuming everyone ‘knows’
Attracting, developing and holding on to top talent continues to remains a daunting challenge.
Developing the next level is perhaps one of the most difficult tasks for leaders leading to gaps in future leadership.
Every leader desires it but employee ownership and accountability remain an elusive ask.
Professional Alliance for Corporate Transformation or PACT, is an ICF Kolkata Chapter Outreach initiative to bring together institutions and a body of ICF certified professional coaches to support leaders to realise their blind spots and unleash the potential of their teams.
Leadership development deploy many tools such a learning interventions, assessment centres, mentoring and e-learning. One toll that has emerged as a winner in recent times is Coaching, where a leader works with his or her coach over a period of time to discover their inner strength
The ICF defines Coaching as a process ofpartnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Essentially, coaching creates a deeply sacred and safe space, where the Coachee can emote, express and think without the fear of being judged. This process often leads to ‘lightbulb’ moments when they find solutions to their most sticky problems. The coaching experience is deeply cathartic and often brings about huge transformation in leader’s behavior, attitude and approach towards their own and team challenges.
ICF Kolkata Chapter offers different institutions multiple options to engage depending on the need and the complexity of the challenge.
The easiest starting point is to identify leaders and sign them up for PRO BONO Coaching. These leaders receive 3 complimentary coaching sessions conducted by experienced and certified professional coaches. If the sessions are found useful, leaders can sigh up for more paid sessions
For more complex institutional challenges which may need a deeper dive, ICF recommends a DISCOVERY approach before setting up PAID Coaching. This involves a core team of ICF coaches and consultants who study the environment and identify key areas of improvement. Thereafter, a few Leaders receive between 6-12 Paid Coaching sessions once the outcomes are decided.
Often the discovery studies throw up common hurdles that come in the way of team performance. In such cases, it is common to deploy TEAM coaching sessions where one coach is aligned to a small team. The coach helps them to strengthen their team strategy and to overcome their emotional challenges for transformative performance
Your Chapter has several Committees, headed by a Board Level Director. These are voluntary committees who work selflessly for the greater good and visibility of the Chapter. Global Chapter members can join any of these committees by writing to the respective Committee Director. Selection is purely at the discretion of the Board.
Global members are part of the official WhatsApp group The Kolkata
Chapter of ICF Global Members which is your primary platform to learn and
share with other global and affiliate members. Please actively participate
in this group to remain abreast of the happenings in the Chapter.
There is an unofficial WhatsApp group – Guests of ICF Kolkata Chapter
Events. This group is used only for the purposes of broadcasting Chapter
events to a larger audience to enable them to join them. It is also used by
non-members to exchange posts and throughs.
